Leadership

Jack M. Mortenson founded Mortenson Broadcasting Company. Jack’s roots in living a life dedicated to bringing others to Christ started at an early age. Jack spent his youth traveling with his parents as evangelists.

After graduating from King’s College in New York, Jack studied Anthropology at Columbia University and attended Talbot Theological Seminary.

Ordained in 1960, Jack served as youth minister, music director and co-pastor with his father eventually seceding his Father as pastor of Faith Memorial Baptist Church after his death.

Jack ultimately felt his calling to launch a Christian radio network and Mortenson Broadcasting Company was born at WTOF-FM in Canton, Ohio.  Through Jack’s commitment to serving Jesus Christ by taking His word to thousands by radio broadcast, Mortenson Broadcasting Company flourished to include owned radio stations in:

Washington, DC; Raleigh/Durham, NC; Baltimore, MD; Lexington, KY; Pittsburgh, PA; Louisville, KY; Akron, OH; Nashville, TN; Canton, OH; Kansas City, MO; Cleveland, OH; Denver, CO; Cincinnati, OH; Phoenix, AZ; Huntington, WV        Albuquerque, NM; Charleston, WV and Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX.

Jack’s unique life experiences and his strong personal drive has provided visionary leadership and success to Mortenson Broadcasting Company while staying true to his commitment to serving Christ.
